You don’t have to change your entire life to reduce the risk of colon cancer. It is easy to take on too many changes at once and become burned out and fall back into old habits.
However, many small steps can be taken that will add up over and turn into a healthier lifestyle. Increasing the amount you exercise, decreasing alcohol intake and taking steps to have a more balanced diet are all steps to reduce the risk of colon cancer. For more, check out the video below:

There are several life modifying changes that could be done to prevent and reduce risk of colon cancer, these include:
1. Having a well balanced diet with high fibre.
2. Increasing the vegetable and fibre content in every meal.
3. Decreasing excessive alcohol use.
4. Obesity and weight loss. This has been noted to actually cause a decrease in colorectal cancer.
5. Increasing exercise.
These are several factors in addition to regular screening colonoscopies that have been demonstrated to decrease the incidence and recurrence of colon cancer.
