Recovering from Colon Cancer

Recovery from colon cancer treatment was very difficult for Marc Rowley, and part of the struggle was that he just was not capable of the physical tasks that he had once enjoyed, including weight lifting and golf. He shares his difficulties with recovering from colon cancer in this video.

“My thirties are a blur because of all the pain,” Marc says. “The physical pain really came out in umbilical hernias for me… I had three hernia surgeries in five years.”

Although there was no pain associated with the other parts of treatment, the hernias that Marc suffered were extremely painful and have kept him from pursuing some of the activities he had previously enjoyed.
